For the efficient harvest of extremely large, high yield maize the SPFH manufactures raised the engine power significantly during the past years.
This development has been strongly pushed by the biogases boom particularly in Germany. In order to be able to offer also high performance headers for those circumstances Kemper presented 475. This machine is just like the 460 particularly strong in extremely large and high yield maize as in different row widths up to broadcast sowing.

The base of this machine is the 460 which has been extended with a small drum at each outer side. The small outward turning drums provide a continuous material flow to the large gatherer drums.
They allow an almost loss-free intake of the maize plants on the direct way to the feed rolls of the SPFH. The gatherer and angled intake drums bundle the maize in an optimal package and transport the plants lengthwise to the chopping unit to ensure an excellent chop quality. This header can also be used in different crops and manage even bad conditions. Especially for the use in bad conditions our engineers created another innovation. Because of the special construction the outer divider points can work without mechanical driven crop dividers even in bad conditions. The 475 is the consequent further development of the successful Champion 460, which impresses, since a few years customers from all over the world especially in bad conditions.
